Who we are

The Entre Serras Project, a contemporary art network, between agriculture and biodiversity in mountain areas, aims to create a psycho-cartographic space that constitutes itself as a contemporary art network between Portugal, Spain and France (Beira Baixa and Beira Alta, Extremadura and Castilla y León regions, Alpes de Haute-Provence…).
It is a cultural, social and scientific project that includes collaborative and transdisciplinary artistic actions, committed to communities, with the aim of favouring local and networked development.
Working in situ (interventions in the territory) and in visu (visualisation of photographic documentation and other media through exhibitions and a digital platform), the invited artists imprint on each of their works a link with the location of the work. In doing so, they emphasise the histories of the places, as well as phenomena linked to current issues in rural and urban mountain areas (transformation of populations, landscapes, agriculture, biodiversity, tourism, climate change…).
